Hello all,
Not so long ago we shared the wonderful news that we had reached the amount needed to evacuate the Hindawis. Within a week of that time, we also received the devastating news that the Rafah border had been closed. Many of us received news and updates from the ground that a new opening would be made soon. Unfortunately, a month has passed since that time. You can imagine how concerning this is, considering the instability and dire circumstances on the ground.
Unfortunately, the Hindawis are now being displaced again as they wait for the border to open. UNICEF, of all agencies, is taking up occupancy in their current home and forcing them to find housing elsewhere.
The search for housing has been tenuous and difficult as the Deir Al Balah area is increasingly crowded with displaced families entering from all over the Gaza strip. Additionally, occupation violence has been increasing in the area too.
At this time, the Hindawis urgently need our generosity to afford rent, food and survival needs while maintaining their evacuation fund. We have thus increased the goal by $10,000 to create safety and possibility for a few more months in Gaza.

We are so incredibly humbled and grateful to share that due to our collective efforts, we have met the campaign goal! Very soon, the Hindawi's will be able to place their names on the evacuation list once it becomes available again.
While this provides a great deal of hope, we all know that the situation is highly unstable in Gaza. Please continue to keep the Hindawis in your actions, thoughts and prayers.
If you wish to continue supporting, your funds will support the Hindawi's much needed living expenses in Egypt.
Many families need similar support. We hope you feel encouraged and that you continue to share your abundance with on the ground mutual aid efforts and the many families seeking refuge at this time globally.
