The Warren County Historical Society invites members, historians, and the public to the opening reception of Historic Train Depots Along the Old D&H Line, a new exhibit featuring twenty-two original charcoal drawings by Glens Falls artist Rodney Bentley.

Over the course of this collection, Bentley has captured the depots that once anchored the Delaware & Hudson Railroad's route through our region — tracing the line from Rouses Point in the north all the way south to the Catskills. Many of these stations no longer stand, and others have been transformed beyond recognition, making Bentley's detailed charcoal renderings a rare and valuable record of a landscape that shaped how goods, mail, and people moved through Warren County and beyond for generations.

Joining Bentley at the reception will be local railroad historian Kip Grant, who will speak on the history of the D&H line — its founding, its role in the region's growth, and the legacy it left behind long after the last trains ran through many of these depots.

The reception takes place Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with check-in beginning at 10:30 AM, at the Warren County Historical Society, 50 Gurney Lane, Queensbury, NY.

This is a wonderful opportunity to meet the artist, hear Kip Grant's talk, and see the full collection up close before it settles in for its run. The exhibit will remain on view at WCHS through October 15, 2026, so there's plenty of time to return with family and friends.
