For 40 years, United Way has proudly served Alexander City and the greater Lake Martin area and we believe everyone in Coosa and Tallapoosa counties deserves the opportunity to grow and thrive.

That’s why United Way mobilizes the caring power of our friends, neighbors, businesses, and community partners. Together, we are working toward a future where everyone can reach their full potential.

The Lake Martin Area United Way raises funds to help support other local nonprofits, many of whom are small and rely heavily on United Way funding made possible through your donations, to achieve their mission and help people every day.

We distribute these funds through our 26 partner agencies to meet our community’s needs and provide valuable assistance to individuals and families.

We support those facing food insecurity. We work to prepare children for success in school and life. We connect people in financial distress with resources to help them pay their bills and stay in their homes.

We do all this and so much more in support of our community.

The Lake Martin Area United Way is also actively involved in disaster response and recovery efforts. We work closely with our county EMA and other dedicated community partners to help those affected by a disaster.

We support 211 Connects Alabama, a free-to-use, easy-to-remember number with live, trained call specialists there 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with information and referral services to help you find answers and local resources.
