Almost four years ago, Dynasty Dance Co. started with one belief: every kid deserves a place to dance, no matter what their family can pay.

Since then, more than 1,800 kids have come through our programs. Over 65% have come on scholarship. In June 2026, our community voted us Best Studio in the College Area.

At the end of July, we lost our first home.

We fought to save it, harder than most people know. We chased every option we could find but our efforts were blocked at nearly every turn. It would have been easy to close the doors for good.

Instead, we went back to our roots, packing up the music and bringing Dynasty right into schools across San Diego. It's working. But our kids deserve more than a borrowed cafeteria. They deserve a place to belong.

And we've found it! A space in the same community our families already call home that's the right size, with a parking lot and a security guard. But we're on a clock. To make it ours, we have to raise what it takes and soon. We're asking our community for help.

This is bigger than a dance studio.

Arts programs are being cut from schools. The classes that teach a kid to create, to move, to believe they're capable of something are the first to go.

At the same time, families are stretched thinner than ever. In San Diego, a family with two young children spends close to 40% of the median income on child care alone, and 1 in 7 kids grows up below the poverty line. A dance class can feel like a luxury meant for other people. Parents tell us they'd give anything to put their kids, and sometimes themselves, into a creative outlet like this, but the math just isn't mathing. That's the gap we exist to fill. A child's chance to create shouldn't depend on what their family can afford.

And when school lets out (winter break, spring break, all summer) our camps are what families count on: a safe, joyful place for kids to be while their parents work. It isn't just dance. It's childcare. It's community.
