Our popular Homeschool Outdoors series continues!

Roots, reeds, and wildflowers, oh my! Students will wander through the wetlands discovering how plants like cattails, duckweed, and water lilies survive in soggy soil. Through hands-on activities and plant identification hikes, kids will learn how wetland plants filter water, provide shelter, and form the foundation of the whole ecosystem. It's a green adventure your budding botanists won't want to miss!

When: Tuesday, October 20th 9:00 a.m.-11 a.m.

Cost: $10 per student per program. Includes admission to the Wetland Center. Free for parents/guardians. Parents or guardians must be present with their students throughout the program.

Age: 6-12. Limit of 20 students per program.

Long pants, sleeves, and closed-toed shoes
Bug spray
A hat
Water bottle
Your sense of curiosity and wonder

Our Program Refund Policy

If we must cancel the program, you will receive a full refund. If we must reschedule the program, you will be offered the choice of attending on the new date or receiving a full refund. If you cancel attending the program on the original date, no refund will be issued.
