Set It Once. Keep a Scholar Moving Forward All Year.

When Nikki reached the student-teaching semester of her education degree, she faced an impossible equation. To become a teacher, she had to leave her full-time job and spend the semester in a classroom—all while completing lesson plans, studying for certification exams, and providing for her child.

Without a full-time paycheck, Nikki relied on food pantries and worried about keeping a roof over her family’s head. She later told OSPSP:

“The OSPSP scholarship was such a HUGE blessing for my little family. We would not have survived without it the past two semesters. I used the money to literally survive—to pay for housing and utilities.”

OSPSP’s support helped Nikki complete the semester and finish school. “The scholarships I received from OSPSP quite literally helped me finish,” she said. “I couldn’t have done this without you.”

Nikki’s story is deeply personal—but it is not unusual. Our recipients are balancing classes, work, clinical rotations, childcare, and the everyday costs of raising a family. One used her scholarship to repair her car, buy a reliable laptop, and pay for gas and bills. Another paid for daycare, groceries, school supplies, and transportation. Karla used OSPSP support for rent, an air-conditioning unit for her children, and tires for the car that carried her family to school and appointments. These ordinary expenses can determine whether a single parent finishes the semester or is forced to stop out.

Consistency Creates Stability

When you join The Honor Roll as a monthly donor, your gift becomes a dependable source of support OSPSP can count on.

Consistent monthly funding helps us look ahead, build a responsible budget, and know how many families we can support in the coming semester. It allows us to plan scholarships, maintain mentoring and student-support services, and respond when an unexpected expense threatens to derail a recipient’s education.

For our scholars, that consistency means knowing someone will continue to stand beside them- not just during one difficult month, but throughout the long journey toward a degree.

For you, it is a simple set-it-and-forget-it way to make a lasting difference. Choose an amount that is comfortable, set up your recurring gift once, and your support will quietly go to work every month- helping provide gas to class, childcare during clinicals, groceries during finals, books, rent, utilities, and the breathing room a parent needs to keep going.

Your Gift Says, “You Don’t Have to Do This Alone.”

A monthly gift may feel small when it leaves your account. But combined with the steady generosity of other Honor Roll members, it becomes something powerful: stability.

It becomes a repaired car, a safe home, a completed semester, and a parent walking across the graduation stage while their children watch.

Join The Honor Roll today. Set your gift once and help single-parent scholars keep moving forward every month.
