At Saline County Safe Haven, we provide safe shelter, advocacy, and critical support to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking in our community. As the need for services continues to grow, community partnerships and fundraising events are essential to ensuring our doors remain open to those who need safety most.

Last year alone, we provided 4,107 bed nights, supported 533 survivors, and answered countless crisis calls from individuals seeking safety and hope. In shelter, we served 75 survivors (46 adults and 29 children). As for our outreach program, we served 458 survivors (228 adults and 230 children). With recent VOCA grant funding cuts all around the state, a gap in resources has been created at a time when the demand for services continues to rise. Financial support plays a critical role in ensuring survivors still have access to safe shelter and support. We need all the support we can get to remain open and continue serving one of our most vulnerable populations -- survivors of abuse.

For example, $100 provides one night of safe shelter for a mother and her child, offering peace of mind and protection from harm. $150 provides a week’s worth of food for shelter residents. $225 provides three essential counseling sessions, helping survivors process trauma and develop healthy coping mechanisms.

We want to invite our community members to attend our "Hoppy Easter for Hope" fundraising event which directly sustains life-saving services through safe housing and meals to counseling, transportation, crisis intervention, and children’s support.
