Who We Are

Alamo Housing Project is a 501(c)3 Nonprofit dedicated to keeping our low—and no-income neighbors in their homes and giving them a second chance at living in a safe environment.

What We Do

So far, thanks to donations from you, we have been able to help several real people who have faced eviction. People who have had set backs, likes of which we all have experienced in our lives. These were people that couldn't afford to be put on a waitlist, and wait for a call months down the road. They were facing a deadline that was rapidly approaching.

There are more people out there that we couldn't help. People who needed assistance yesterday. People who had to pack up their lives, and abandon their homes. We want to help these people, too.

What We Need

All donations received through our "Eviction Prevention and Rental Assistance" campaign go toward putting a stop to eviction processes, down-payments to get into safe and affordable living spaces, and application fees required to receive a fresh start.

We're proud to announce that now, through December 3rd, 2024, GiveButter is offering a Challenge Grant of $5,000 if Alamo Housing Project is able to meet a goal of at least $500.00. This money can help so many people needing a peaceful night's rest, and knowledge that, at least for now, they are where they belong.

Winner's will be announced December 10th, 2024.
