Hand Up Partners is a 501 C-3 nonprofit established by D. C. & Co.’s band leader, Dave Costarella in 2024; that works with the homeless and borderline homeless, toward self-sufficiency employment and housing, by providing opportunities to clean up community areas, check ins at community breakfast and many other work projects. Presently their participants are cleaning 14 community areas on a daily basis and doing neighborhood cleanups with up to70 participants at a time.

Hand Up Partners also is bridging the gaps between the many of the homeless resources and working diligently on building an effective system to solve homelessness in Lancaster, PA.

This annual live music/love-fest started in 2002 as a benefit For D.C. & Co’s band member Gary Miller and has raised thousands of dollars for many different benefactors, including Hospice of Lancaster County, Food Bank, Finefrock-Stumpf Golden Glove Youth Center and as of last year is a fundraiser for Costarella’s Hand Up Partners.

D. C. & Co. have been performing and recording original Rock’n Blues, swing, funk & jazz for over 30 years throughout the North East region and has created a large and loyal following along the way.

Band of Llamas as DC puts it “is a “Hippie-Jamm Band Opera” incredible musicians performing original mind-blowing compositions that keeps the party going and the dance floor full!”
