Help Another Young Person Discover, “I Can Do This.”

Your gift will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $50,000, thanks to METCOR/LSI!

When Gabi first came to Brendan Sailing, she wasn't sure what to expect—or whether she could do it.

She faced learning, social, and physical challenges. But she was willing to try something new.

And at Brendan Sailing, she found instructors who believed in her, friends who encouraged her, and a place where she could discover what she was capable of.

As Gabi shared:

“The Brendan instructors explained things to me in ways I understood and allowed me to do it myself.”

Allowed me to do it myself.

Those words capture the heart of Brendan Sailing.

For more than 40 years, we've empowered young people with learning differences through individualized sailing instruction, helping them build confidence, independence, communication skills, and a sense of belonging.

For Gabi, those lessons extended far beyond the water.

“Brendan Sailing has given me the confidence to undertake the challenge of sailing and learning new skills, in addition to communicating better with my friends and family.”

Gabi didn't just gain confidence. She found a community where she belonged.

And as she grew, something remarkable happened: she became the one encouraging others. She began helping new campers feel comfortable, answering their questions, and supporting them as they tried something unfamiliar.

From needing encouragement to giving it. From unsure to confident. From feeling different to belonging.

That's what your gift makes possible.
