For over 30 years, Outreach East has served as a critical lifeline—a constant, non-denominational emergency resource center dedicated to assisting neighbors in need across Goodrich, Davison, Otisville, and the expanding 225 square miles of eastern Genesee County. We are built on the belief that no one in our community should face hunger or housing instability alone.

Yet, the need in our area remains staggering. Even as the economy shifts, too many families are one unexpected bill away from crisis. Consider this: in a recent year, over 70,000 people in Genesee County lived in poverty, and the food insecurity rate has been estimated at over 15%. This is not an abstract problem; it’s our children and our seniors. Right here in the Davison school district, nearly half (49%) of students qualify for free or reduced-price lunches. These are the families who turn to us when their cupboards are bare and hope is running thin.

Turning Compassion into Crisis Relief

In the past year alone, with the support of generous donors like you, we were able to provide:

Emergency Food & Essentials to over 8500 clients.
Over 289,000 pounds of food distributed, including 520 complete holiday dinners for families who would have otherwise gone without.
More than $30,000 spent assisting 100 families to prevent evictions or keep their heat and electricity on.
Holiday sponsorship for 328 local children, ensuring they woke up to gifts.
