18 miles, 4,700 feet elevation gain

On this epic one-day Grand Canyon hike, we’ll start from the South Rim and descend into the Canyon at 4am via the South Kaibab trail. After crossing the Colorado River and having lunch at Phantom Ranch, we’ll test our personal limits and complete the day by ascending 4,700 feet via Bright Angel Trail.

At night, temps will be around freezing with the possibility of snow.

During the day, we will face long stretches in direct sun and temps of 100°+.

All this effort to benefit FIRST Skin Foundation and inspire countless people for Ichthyosis Awareness Month!

Itinerary

Day 1: Everyone arrives to PHX by 10 am, team brunch, drive to GC campground. See GC, set up camp, early to bed.

Day 2: Wake up, everyone drops into the canyon by 5 am. Everyone hikes all day at their own pace—the guides split up and no one falls behind the sweep guide. Team dinner at campground.

Day 3: A bit of sightseeing around Grand Canyon and group departs for Phoenix, sleeps at hotel near airport.

Day 4: everyone flies out of Phoenix.
