Kīkaha is a collective group of keiki, mākua, ʻohana, and kumu ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi on a mission to share and perpetuate Hawaiian language normalcy in Hawaiʻi and around the world!

After successfully completing Kīkaha 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025 planning for Kīkaha 2026 has already begun! We are so excited to celebrate our 5th anniversary with an educational out of country experience for the entire ʻohana to participate in and enjoy. Kīkaha will be traveling to Tokyo, Japan to engage in cultural exchanges, language immersion, and celebrate Lā ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi- Hawaiian Language Day at the happiest place on earth- Tokyo Disney!

The main goal of our trip is to encourage the normalcy of Hawaiian language and culture, build and strengthen relationships with our international 'ohana, while also providing future generations with the courage to speak their native language wherever they go. As a way to extend the celebration of Hawaiian Language Month- February, our adventure will take place in March. Through Kīkaha 2026, we hope to raise awareness through language activities, park-specific vocabulary, and educational magic that Hawaiian is a living and breathing language in Hawaiʻi...and beyond!

This 5th annual opportunity would not be possible without the generous aloha and support of those in our community who see the value of our language and share the commitment to its perpetuation. Our fundraising efforts will help to differ travel costs, lodging and accommodations, and purchase educational resources and tools.
