We are Amy and Jason, from New Zealand and the United States. Together with Sooner Hope, we have created this project to deliver hot meals and peace of mind to communities living on the edge of war in Ukraine. Never Alone was born out of a combined 11.5 months of experience volunteering in Ukraine since the war began, providing humanitarian aid, care for abandoned animals, and lifesaving equipment for frontline defenders.

It is now our wish to have a greater impact on those who have been forgotten about: the people living where the sounds of war have become commonplace, but the ability to go to the market or to school has become a luxury. Never Alone will deliver hot, free, homemade meals to the cities and villages near the front lines. Through our partnership with Sooner Hope and relationships developed with local communities and volunteer organizations established over seven trips to Ukraine since the war began, we will bring the joy of good food to community centers, orphanages, and schools.
