About Accessible Academics

People with disabilities are often tracked into entry-level jobs in hospitality, retail, and housekeeping. They tend to be overlooked for promotion. This limits their income and life experiences - and the community misses out on their contributions.

Accessible Academics provides services to young adults with disabilities to create meaningful careers that allow them to have an impact. We offer one-on-one coaching and tutoring for college, TASC, certificate, and trade school learners. We'll craft educational programs for students with nontraditional academic goals. Accessible Academics offers workshops to support our services. We deliver services online or in person as needed. Our model promotes life-long learning that benefits students in the classroom and in their careers.

We help students succeed - last year, all of our students made progress towards graduation with at least a "B" average!

Our services are free to students approved through ACCES-VR or Medicaid in the state of NY. However, that is not enough to cover our expenses and offer low-cost and free services to all students in need. To do that, we need supporters like you to take action by sharing our mission and fundraising. You can play a key part in making a difference in the lives of students with disabilities.
