20 years of cycling across America. One fight against cancer.

Illini 4000 was founded in 2007, and next May we mark our 20th anniversary. Our team of 23 riders will leave New York City and pedal to San Francisco to raise money for cancer research and patient support, and to listen to the stories of people whose lives cancer has touched.

Our riders are fundraising and training now, and every dollar you give here goes toward our team goal of $80,000. Each rider is committed to raising their share before we roll out in mid-May.

What your gift supports

Cancer research and patient support programs. Last year's support went towards four beneficiaries:
The Portraits Project: along the route, we interview survivors, patients, and caregivers and share their stories so they are heard

Make it personal

Many of us give because cancer has touched someone we love. When you donate, you can leave a note naming someone you're giving in honor or in memory of. We'll carry those names with us across the country, and they'll keep us pedaling through the hardest miles.

Thank you for helping us celebrate 20 years of Illini 4000.
