Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library puts books into the hands and hearts of children across the world and right here locally! We partner with local communities to provide age-appropriate, high-quality books each month to registered children from birth to age five.

The Imagination Library started in Dearborn County in 2008, and we’ve provided books to thousands of local children over the years. Children who enroll in this program from birth gain a personal library of 60 brand new age-appropriate books, which they will undoubtedly return to over and over again. This establishes a foundation for future learning and success.

Our model grants access to premium books at a fraction of market cost. Just $31 will cover the entire cost to provide one book each month directly to a local child for an entire year, at no cost to the family, regardless of their income status. Indiana's First Lady Maureen Braun is championing the fundraising efforts so that every donation goes twice as far through a dollar-for-dollar match.
