Wanna Know Why Are We Doing This?

Why not? Honestly, when was the last time you went out with the sole intention of just being happy? (And no, that last brunch with bottomless mimosas doesn’t count. We all know what happened after the fourth round.)

We believe that when people come together to spread kindness, positivity, and compliments like confetti, something magical happens. The world doesn’t suck so much for a minute, and you remember that oh yeah, there’s still good in it.

The Next 'Be-In Joy Boston' is Happening – And You’re Invited!

This May-a-comin, we’re taking over Boston Common to bring you something that’s sorely missing in the world today: JOY. That’s right, folks pure, unfiltered joy. We’re talking about belly laughs, deep conversations, contagious smiles, and the type of positivity that even your grumpy uncle can’t resist.

🗓 When: Sunday, June 29th, 12 pm - 4 pm
📍 Where: in Boston Common, at the Parkman Bandstand.

Here is your official invitation to unplug from stress and plug into joy.

WE NEED YOUR HELP

Now, we wish we could say joy grows on trees (but if you find one of those, let us know). Truth is, it takes a little moolah to pull off an event like this. Our UPDATED goal is to raise at bare minimum $685 to bring this vision to life. We've updated the goal to reflect some items that have been donated, as well as some things that would require more time than we have. Here’s where your dollars will go:

$350 — Dance Instructor: Salsa instructors get everyone moving, laughing, and connecting through the joy of dance!
$300 — Sound Equipment : We need the sound equipment to play music for the dance lessons, as well as a way to make announcements and guide people through the activities of the event.
$35 — Parking We need to be able to drive in with our stuff and park the car for the duration of setting-up to breaking-down the event.
$15 — Fees Any fees associated with withdrawing the money from the campaign or other miscellany.

Any additional money raised will go toward the fees for filing to become a registered non-profit!

This isn’t just a one-off event. Oh no, we’re thinking big.
