In Memory of Charles "Chuck" DeVet

Co-Founder of Humanitarian Services for Children of Vietnam (HSCV)

For more than 25 years, Charles "Chuck" DeVet dedicated his heart to creating opportunities for children and families in Vietnam.

What began in 2001 as a father-daughter journey to Vietnam became a lifelong mission. After witnessing the resilience of families and the determination of children to stay in school despite extraordinary hardship, Chuck returned home convinced that even a small act of kindness could change a child's future.

Together with his daughter, Annetta, he founded Humanitarian Services for Children of Vietnam (HSCV).

Chuck never believed he could change the world alone. He believed that if each of us did what we could, with what we had, while we had the chance, meaningful change would follow. That simple philosophy became the foundation of HSCV.

Over the past 25 years, HSCV has grown from supporting just 20 children with scholarships into an organization that partners with communities across Vietnam through education, youth development, family support, livelihood initiatives, and community development. Thousands of children and families have been supported because one person chose to act and because so many others chose to join him.

Today, we invite you to honor Chuck's memory by helping continue the work that meant so much to him.
