Last winter in Johnson City, when the temperatures dropped below freezing, a small network of churches and volunteers opened their doors so no one had to sleep outside. In the middle of a brutal cold snap, when even our community’s primary emergency housing site had a building failure, neighbors stepped up — and together, we provided 287 nights of warmth and safety for people who had nowhere else to go.

That effort saved lives. But now, without new funding, the program that made it possible won’t survive another winter.

Unity Housing and our community partners are working to raise $20,000 to sustain the Inclement Weather Emergency Housing Program this season. Your donation directly supports local efforts to provide warm, safe, and dignified overnight accommodations during dangerous weather — and connects participants to long-term housing and healthcare resources.

Every dollar makes a difference:
💙 $25 provides meals and basic comfort supplies for one person.
💙 $50 covers a night of emergency housing for one individual.
💙 $100 supports transportation, coordination, and volunteer training.
💙 $500 sustains operations for an entire activation night across multiple host sites.
