The U.P. Rowing Club (UPRC) is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization that has brought people together through the sport of rowing in Marquette, MI since 2004. Thanks to our dedicated volunteers, we provide training, equipment, and safe access to outdoor recreation on beautiful Lake Superior for adults and youth alike. Rowing is one of the only forms of exercise that is a non-impact activity and still exercises every major muscle group. We provide an opportunity for co-ed, multi-generational fitness, collaboration, fellowship, and fun. Our programs have inspired high school rowers to continue on with collegiate crews and even compete at the Summer World University Games!

Our annual Iron Oars Regatta is the highlight of our season—a celebration of teamwork, perseverance, and the joy of rowing. It takes countless volunteer hours and generous contributions of snacks and supplies to make this event possible.

This year, we’re inviting friends and supporters to help us cover venue costs, refreshments, and other regatta essentials. Every gift—big or small—helps keep the day welcoming, fun, and memorable for everyone.
