Are you a chili connoisseur or a chili chef? Or both?

Bring your chili tastebuds or your favorite chili recipe to compete against the best

Hot dogs, french fries, beer, wine, soft drinks available for purchase

Chili Cook off rules

· $40 entry fee

· Prizes for 1^st 2^nd 3^rd places

· All entrants will receive a commemorative prize

· Winners will be determined by popular vote from the attendees

· No specific categories or restrictions. Simply make the best tasting version of “Chili” possible

PREPARATION

· Contestants required to make at least 2.5 gallons

· All entries should be prepared prior to arrival at the contest

· No open flames allowed on site for the event (i.e. camp stoves or similar)

· Power strips will be provided to power crock pots or other low power draw appliances

· FRH kitchen will be available to use range, oven, warming towers, refrigerators and prep space. You will be able to use this space for storage and to keep your backup supplies warm or cold as needed.

· Contestants may bring crock pots or other low-draw electric powered warming appliances (please no portable induction burners), pop up canopies, camp chairs, and “Marketing Materials” to describe their entry

Please have your Chili’s at the event by 1 pm

PRESENTATION

· No garnishes allowed for the tasting & judging portion of the contest (i.e. cornbread, crackers, fritos, sour cream, cheese, onions, etc)

· You will be able to dress your chili with those types of items once tasting and judging is completed.

· Bowls, spoons and napkins provided by event for tasting as well as enjoying a larger bowl of delicious chili once all of the voting is completed.
