In memory of 2nd Star's founding member, former President/Artistic Director, board member and seminal artist, 2nd Star Productions is proud to now call our annual scholarship the Jane B. Wingard Scholarship Fund—a tribute to her enduring passion for theater, art, and education.

This annual scholarship supports local high school seniors or current college/trade school students who have shown a commitment to community theater--onstage or behind the curtain.

2nd Star’s Scholarship program is intended to:

• Encourage participation in theatre in general, and 2nd Star in particular
• Reward individuals with a demonstrated record of active involvement in 2nd Star
• Foster life-long appreciation for and support of community theatre

Each year, 2nd Star volunteers who are heading to school or currently in the midst of their higher education, can apply for one-time $500 scholarships.
