The Jewish Coalition believes another world is possible. We envision a world where immigrants are treated with dignity and care under laws that are just and humane. In our vision, we live in safety, peace and power together. Your contribution helps to build the world we wish to see!

Your support enables us to show solidarity with immigrants in their time of need to build collective power. Please help grow JCIJ’s accompaniment, advocacy, and community engagement with a donation at whatever level is meaningful to you.

The Jewish Coalition represents the Jewish voice in the Pacific Northwest advancing immigrant justice and domestic policy at the local, state, and national level by organizing across Jewish communities, multifaith groups, and partners. JCIJ was founded in 2017 and incorporated into a nonprofit in February of 2023 to continue to expand our role in the immigrant justice movement.

Your support builds a Jewish Coalition able to meet the moment and take on emergent needs in the fight for immigrant justice.

When an asylum seeker is required to meet with ICE, but they are afraid to go alone, JCIJ volunteers accompany them. When someone needs help navigating an incredibly challenging system or bureaucracy, or needs to take their child to a medical appointment, JCIJ is there for them. When we need to take action in great numbers, JCIJ is there.

When immigrants and refugees are excluded from health insurance and unemployment benefits, JCIJ is there to raise our voice in Olympia. When a Jewish and multifaith voice can deepen the fight for a just and humane immigration system at the local, state, and federal level, JCIJ is there.

All donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Want to support JCIJ through your Required Minimum Distribution or a Donor Advised Fund? Our Tax ID is 92-2200731.

JCIJ’s Primary Legislative Priorities:

Unemployment Insurance for Undocumented Workers

Every worker deserves access to unemployment insurance when the unexpected happens and they experience job loss. Create and fully fund an unemployment insurance program for undocumented workers equivalent to the existing program that is available for Washington residents.

Health Equity for Immigrants

Everyone deserves access to health care regardless of immigration status. Advocate for a bill to codify and fully fund the Apple Health Expansion Program, which would provide coverage to all eligible low-income immigrant and refugee community members. Advocate for Cascade Care subsidies to make health care within reach.

Support for Newly Arrived Migrants

Newly arrived migrants deserve to be welcomed into our sanctuary state and receive services and resources that allow them to thrive. Advocate for a Budget Proviso to obtain continued funding for the Washington Migrant and Asylum-Seeker Support (WA MASS) Project administered by DSHS Office of Refugee and Immigrant Assistance (ORIA) with the goal of supporting economic stability and long-term integration.
