Kennedy Front Lot Project:

In partnership with Kennedy School's Art Department led by Ms. Van Tassell, the Kennedy School Administration Team, and Somerville's Department of Public Works, the Front Lot Improvement Committee is working on short-term (May 2025) interim beautification improvements to the Kennedy School front lot while we wait for a longer-term redesign and rebuild project, currently slated to begin spring 2026.

*Your monetary gift directly benefits the students of the John F. Kennedy School of Somerville, to cover expenses of short-term improvements to our school's front lot, used daily by a student body of 450 students in grades K-8 for recess, recreation, Physical Education programming and after-school programs, as well as the entire city community outside of school hours.

*There are plans for a long-term project led by the City of Somerville to redesign and rebuild the Kennedy Front Lot into a recreation area and universally accessible playground for the school and residents. This fundraiser is NOT affiliated with that project and no funds raised here will be designated for use by any entity other than Kennedy School PTA.

* All monies are earmarked and managed by the Kennedy School PTA's Front Lot Committee and collected and disbursed by the John F. Kennedy School PTA, a registered 501(c)(3) organization (PTA Massachusetts, Parent-Teacher Association, Inc dba John F. Kennedy School PTA)
