Help Us Keep the Stories Coming as Stamp Costs Rise

As of July 13th, USPS postage rates increased by 7.25 percent, which makes it even harder for us to stay connected with the incarcerated storytellers who rely on mail as their only lifeline to the outside world. Most people inside have no access to the internet, earn extremely low wages, and have very limited resources. A single stamp can be the difference between isolation and connection, between a story being shared or being lost.

Our Stamp Campaign is ongoing, and this year Giving Tuesday is more important than ever. We include metered stamps in every letter we send so people inside can write back without worry. It is one of the most meaningful ways we give back, and it removes the financial burden that often prevents them from sharing their stories. Many people inside are stunned that anyone wants to hear from them, and there is no other organization exclusively dedicated to amplifying their voices the way we do.

With postage costs rising and our mail volume growing, we truly depend on this community to help us continue this work.
