We are kicking off the school year with our first and biggest fundraiser of the year -- the walk-a-thon (also referred to as the "Joaq-a-thon" as a nod to our school name, Joaquin Miller). This fun event will take place on September 28th with a goal of raising $75,000 for the PTA. It's the 75th year the school has been open! The PTA brings in invaluable programs for the children that are not provided by the public school directly — library support, art classes, yard supervisors, PE/movement, academic tutors and field trips.
Any donation -- small or very large -- will be incredibly appreciated!
