About PSi

The Perrone-Sizer Institute for Creative Leadership (PSi) builds a thriving network of adaptive leaders who mobilize teams to advance racial justice and equity. Through artistic and design thinking and deep partnership with youth, families, and communities, PSi equips educators and community leaders to transform schools and community-based organizations from the inside out.

PSi supports leaders who are reimagining what education and youth development can be: more human, more creative, and more just. Your gift makes this work possible by providing tuition assistance, expert coaching, mentorship, and transformative learning experiences that expand what leadership can look and feel like — especially for leaders closest to the work.

PSi Impact

A 2022 study shows a stark retention gap between teachers overall (86%) and teachers of color (52%), highlighting that while a national sample prioritizes higher salaries, teachers of color explicitly identify leadership opportunities and support as the best incentives to stay.

Since its inception, PSi has actively bridged this gap by providing those exact leadership pathways. We have worked with over 200 educators in the Greater Boston area, and today, over 70% of them are in leadership positions and well over 90% remaining in the field of education, including:
