For nearly 100 years, Alliance Française de San Diego has created connections through the French language and Francophone cultures.

Today, our community includes more than 600 members, hundreds of students, and thousands of participants in educational and cultural programs throughout San Diego. As we approach our centennial, we want to ensure that these opportunities remain accessible—not only today, but for generations to come.

Tuition covers approximately 70% of our operating budget, but tuition alone cannot fund everything that makes our mission meaningful.

Monthly donations help us:

Provide scholarships and accessible classes
Bring French education to underserved children
Offer free and affordable cultural programs
Purchase books, classroom materials, and teaching resources
Support the instructors and staff who bring our mission to life
Respond confidently to rising program and facility costs

The 1927 Circle is a community of monthly donors building AFSD’s next century.

A monthly gift gives us something especially valuable: reliable funding that allows us to plan ahead, invest responsibly, and say yes to more students and community programs.

You do not need to make a large gift to create meaningful change. Consistency creates impact.

Your monthly gift makes a difference all year long:

$19.27/month provides learning materials and celebrates our founding year.
$39/month gives one child access to a complete 12-week art class.
$50/month provides approximately one full scholarship for a French-language session.
$75/month helps keep a cultural event free and accessible to the entire community.
$100/month gives two students access to a full term of French classes.
$192.70/month helps expand French education to children with limited access to enrichment programs.

We will use every gift where it can create the greatest educational and cultural impact.
