Wildlife rehabilitation happens one meal, one patient, and one day at a time.

Every year, Firefly’s Wildlife Rescue cares for hundreds of injured, orphaned, and displaced wild animals from our rural Missouri community. Some stay with us for a few days. Others need weeks or months of specialized food, medical care, clean enclosures, and time to become strong enough to return to the wild.

And those animals still need to eat whether we’ve had a successful fundraiser that week or not.

That is why we created The Firefly Circle.

The Firefly Circle is a community of people who choose to support wildlife rehabilitation with a small, dependable gift each month. Those monthly donations help us plan ahead, keep supplies stocked, and say “yes” when the next animal needs us.

You don’t have to make a huge donation to make a difference.

What your monthly gift can provide

$5 — Squirrel Supper Club
Provides enough formula to feed an orphaned squirrel for a day.

$10 — Owl’s Dinner
Provides the meat needed to feed an owl in rehabilitation for a day.

$25 — Raccoon Roundtable
Feeds a litter of growing raccoons for a day. And if you’ve ever met growing raccoons, you know that is no small accomplishment.

$50 — Turtle Table
Helps provide food for the turtles in our care for an entire month.

$100 — Raptor Sponsor
Provides approximately one month of food for a raptor in rehabilitation.

Of course, your donation isn’t restricted to one particular squirrel, owl, raccoon, turtle, or raptor. Your monthly support goes where it is needed most so we can provide responsible, conservation-minded care to every animal that comes through our doors.

Why monthly giving?

A one-time donation can help us through today.

Monthly donors help us prepare for tomorrow.

They help us buy formula before baby season begins. They help keep freezers stocked for raptors. They help cover the quieter expenses people rarely see: cleaning supplies, enclosure maintenance, medical needs, utilities, transportation, and all the little things required to get a wild animal from intake to release.

Wildlife emergencies don’t wait until we’ve had a successful fundraiser.

Neither should their care.

Become part of the Circle

Whether you give $5 or $100 each month, your gift joins with others to create something much larger: dependable wildlife care right here in our community.

You’ll also get to follow along as the animals you help support grow, heal, and—when everything goes right—return to the wild where they belong.

Join the Firefly Circle today.

Because none of us can do everything.

But together, we can do a whole lot.

Together, we shine brighter.
