The Mock Trial team from Jonesboro High School has been invited to compete in the Southern Showdown

(October 2-5) and to the World Championship (November 13-15) for Empire Mock Trial. These are national

tournaments that teams from Jonesboro have attended since 2012 and finished in the top 15 at the

tournament each year. The Jonesboro Mock Trial team continues to display excellence in all competitions.

We believe that this program is a stepping stone to developing confidence, critical thinking skills, and the

ability to develop and maintain effective spoken and written communication.

The team is raising funds to ensure that all the students and teachers who worked with the mock trial team

will be able to travel to Atlanta, Georgia and Chicago, Illinois, for the competition. One team of freshmen

and sophomores will be competing in Atlanta, and one time primarily composed of juniors and seniors will

be competing in Chicago. The fundraising goals are listed below:

We are pleased to offer you a range of sponsorship opportunities meticulously crafted for esteemed partners

such as yourself. In return for your contribution, you will be listed on the team’s t-shirt and social media

knowing that your support serves as a lasting testament to your dedication to the success of our students and

this dynamic team. For more information, feel free to reach out to the primary team teacher coach, Andrew

Cox.

All contributions in any amount are greatly appreciated! Thank you for helping this very deserving group of

students.

Sincerely,

John Andrew Cox , Primary Teacher Coach (john.cox@clayton.k12.ga.us)
