The 18th Annual Battle for the Crown high school swim invitational is returning to the Josh Davis Natatorium in memory of 5-time Olympian Josh Davis’s mother, Joan.

This year, thanks to founder Kevin, Tristan’s high school swim coach Matt, Josh Davis himself along with the Combat Control Foundation (CCF) this incredible event is coming alongside Tristan and providing the resources and opportunities he needs moving forward in his recovery journey.

Why We Need Your Support

Over 400 days ago, Tristan’s life changed in a single second due to a severe spinal cord injury resulting in full quadriplegia from the collar bones down.

From pushing through grueling physical therapy sessions to sitting unassisted for a personal-best 23 seconds, his determination is unmatched.

But behind those victories are quiet, complex medical battles—frequent hospital stays, severe infections, constant labs, and the massive expense of specialized adaptive equipment like his sit-to-stand frame.

Where the Funds Go: All event proceeds after expenses will be donated directly into Tristan’s official Combat Control Foundation (CCF) fund to help cover but not limited to:

Advanced neurorehabilitation and therapy visits
Cutting-edge adaptive recovery tools and equipment
Accessible transportation and ongoing specialized medical expenses

Whether you come out to cheer on the athletes, sponsor the event or donate online, your support gives Tristan the tools, therapy, and technology he needs to keep breaking records.
