9 years ago, Stanton Heights residents had a bold idea to come together as a community and create a mural on the steps between Stanton Ave & McCandless St.

After a lot of work, advocacy, and waiting, the project is finally underway and we need community support to help bring it to life! Whether it be through joining one of the upcoming Adopt a Step workshops at Contemporary Craft, or donating to support the completion of this project, or both(!) we need your help.

What your donation supports:

Installation materials: grout, thin set mortar, and tile nippers
Expanding the mosaic to include adjacent concrete wall (shown in the design)
Artist compensation

Sponsoring a Step includes:

Recognition on the SHNA website, in perpetuity
Group recognition on-site at the McCandless St Steps
Personal invitation to the launch celebration in 2026, and recognition at the event
