This year’s celebration comes at a pivotal moment. Whether in the form of ICE kidnappings or the expansion of Broken Windows policing under NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch, threats to our communities are growing and with them, the need for JC’s work. At the same time, funding for grassroots organizing continues to shrink. In spite of this, JC has always known - real change is powered by community, and that’s what JSM is all about.

Every year, Justice State of Mind brings together hundreds of community members, organizers, artists, and leaders who want to build safer, healthier, and more powerful communities together. Dance to the beats of DJ Suce and Monday Blue, celebrate with JC members, supporters, and leaders, and fuel organizing that protects people and challenges systems. JSM: Ritmo & Revolution will be an evening of art, rhythm, and political urgency—designed to bring our community closer while we step into what comes next.

Every ticket, sponsorship and donation enables the Justice Committee to support, organize, and uplift the leadership of families who’ve lost loved ones to the police and survivors of police violence; use grassroots campaigns, CopWatch & ICEWatch, direct action, and policy advocacy to reduce the size and power of the NYPD; fight to end police violence; and build true safety and well-being for our communities.
