We named this initiative after Judith, a mother in Iganga whose small garden transformed her health, income, and hope. In Scripture, Judith represents courage and protection of family. Today, her story reflects the strength of vulnerable women who simply need opportunity to stand strong for their children.

Judith is a mother of four in Iganga, Uganda. She is HIV positive.

After her husband left, she was raising four children alone while fighting a disease that weakens the immune system and drains energy.

Through The Boon Project – Agriculture with a Purpose, and in partnership with Whispers of Love Uganda, we helped Judith start a small garden beside her home.

Whispers of Love Uganda works directly in the community identifying vulnerable women and children who are most at risk — including mothers raising HIV-positive children or living with HIV themselves.

That garden changed everything.

Fresh vegetables strengthened Judith’s immune system.
Surplus harvest created income.
She now contributes toward her HIV medication.
One of her four children is back in school.

But she needs more land to grow more.
And she is not alone.

Through this partnership, we are launching The Judith Garden Project to provide:

✔ Nutritional gardens for immune support
✔ Income-generating vegetable production
✔ Land expansion for scaling mothers
✔ Market access and transport support
✔ School stability through harvest income

Together with our local partners, we can help vulnerable mothers move from survival to sustainability.
