Help us replace their home and restore their peace after Hurricane Helene destroyed everything in 15 seconds

On September 27, 2024, Chad and Brittany Eggers' world exploded into a thousand pieces. A catastrophic landslide triggered by Hurricane Helene carried their home, with them inside, two hundred yards down a hillside in Newland, North Carolina.

In those terrifying moments, they lost everything: their nine-month-old home, their vehicles, their beloved dog Thor, and their sense of security. But they didn't lose their lives.

Seven-year-old Hudson was miraculously found safe inside Chad's excavator, swept there by what can only be described as divine intervention. Today, he panics at the sight of dark clouds. Chad still feels the house moving when he lies down. Brittany's heart races when her children don't answer immediately.

The family now carries a $190,000 loan on a home that no longer exists, with no flood insurance to cover their loss. They're trying to rebuild while paying off this massive debt, living paycheck to paycheck, and navigating profound trauma.
