Join the Maplewood Film Society and the Maplewood Division of Arts and Culture for a sequin-filled night celebrating National Coming Out Day with a screening of The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. Special guests include queer maximalist artist and designer Machine Dazzle and more!

Since its release in 1994, Priscilla has been recognized as a seminal queer film, one that celebrates drag performers as they reveal their true, authentic selves. Directed by Stephen Elliot and starring the late-great Terence Stamp along with Hugo Weaving (The Matrix, Lord of the Rings) and Guy Pearce (The Brutalist). it's an action, glitter and disco-filled road-trip that celebrates the Dancing Queens in us all.

After the film we'll have a discussion about Priscilla, its influences and themes with Machine Dazzle and former Details magazine editor-in-chief and author of Modern Psychedelics, Joe Dolce.
