Across Philadelphia, Liberia, Uganda, and Kakuma Refugee Camp, we guide women on a journey of healing, growth, and empowerment.

We serve women emerging from conflict, violence, abuse, gaslighting, and poverty. Through wellness education, we guide them on a journey of healing and empowerment—helping women reconnect with themselves, discover their strengths, practice self-care, express their creativity, and build supportive sisterhood. Together, we create spaces where women can reclaim their voices, confidence, and lives.

🌸 Make Community Happen 2025 Initiative - Artists Act for Sistergood x Publicis Health 🌸

We are proud to launch Make Community Happen — a new Publicis Health initiative spotlighting how creativity, empathy, and collaboration fuel healthier, more connected communities. The kickoff event celebrates Sistergood, marking the first in a series of events where making health happen starts with making community happen.

Sistergood builds sister-leaders and sisterhoods through guided learning in self-discovery, self-care, and self-expression. The organization empowers women in post-conflict to strengthen their well-being, engage in their communities, and become leaders.

This mission aligns powerfully with Publicis Health’s core values of putting people first, driving creative solutions for health and wellbeing, and building communities where every voice is heard. Our belief that keeping the world healthy is our most extraordinary social endeavor and that one person’s well-being is the responsibility of many.

About Sistergood:

Everyday, Sistergood tends the garden of possibility. Our mission is to provide health and wellness education to young girls and women in developing communities. We believe every woman deserves access to tools and information for living a healthy life. Through our Foundational Wellness Program, young girls and women are invited into a journey of self-discovery, self-care, and self-expression—all rooted in the unshakable foundation of sisterhood. Here, women are not only nurtured, but empowered to bloom.

With leadership, mentorship, and skill-building, Sistergood equips participants to carry their growth beyond themselves—into families, communities, and futures yet unseen. Like ripples moving outward from a single drop, each empowered woman becomes a catalyst for change, transforming her community with the strength she first cultivated within. This program invites women to remember their power—a remembering that ignites possibility not just for them, but for everyone they touch.

But today’s women and girls are facing profound challenges—social, economic, and systemic barriers that threaten to dim their light. THIS IS WHY WE PLANT. THIS IS WHY WE NURTURE. And this is where you come in.

Our Story: Under the Sisterhood

We launched Under the Sisterhood on Women’s Equality Day, August 26, 2022. We celebrated with a sister circle. It was such a deep connective experience we wanted to keep the sister circles going. The act of bringing women together to create a positive community where women share and support one another is powerful. We now have a community of thousands of women from 34 countries sharing their female experiences, their “superpowers” and how they help support other women.

As women from developing countries shared in and were a part of this experience, a global sisterhood was born. They also saw the need for sisterhoods in their own countries where they could discuss the local barriers to education, equality, and health, as well as strategies to overcome them. In response to that, Sistergood Inc. emerged.

We envision a healthier world for women where they thrive in all areas of their lives.
