What are Care Closets?

School Care Closets are confidential, on-site resources that provide students with essential items like food, clothing, and hygiene products. They are designed to help students in need focus on their education without worrying about how they will meet their basic needs. (Please see the video above for more details).

Here are some real-life ways Care Closets help students succeed at school:

Provide students with access to food, clothing, and hygiene products: Care Closets provide students with the essential items to stay healthy and focused in school.
Reduce student absenteeism and dropout rates: Students are more likely to attend school regularly and focus in class when they have their basic needs met.
Improve student academic performance: Students who are not worried about how they will meet their basic needs are more likely to focus on their studies and perform well academically.

Ways you can support our Care Closet campaign:

Donate: Every donation in this campaign will be used to purchase items to sponsor school Care Closets.

Drop-off Sites: We are assembling a list of local businesses acting as drop-off sites for Care Closet donations. Please stay tuned for a list of drop-off sites.
