At Coafrica, we are committed to making education accessible to everyone...and it all begins with the classroom. To date, we have built 160 classrooms and positively impacted over 18,000 students in Africa! Data shows that Coafrica classroom construction not only changes attitudes about education, but school attendance and enrollment increase. More children are attending school and moving on to the next grade level. Change is happening!

May 7 is National Teacher Day in America. While we celebrate and honor teachers who have impacted our lives by dedicating knowledge, skills, time, and passion to lift the next generation - we thinkn about our teachers in our Coafrica classrooms -- teachers who are diligently working with our Coafrica students.

Imagine teaching in the following conditions:

Outside with NO protection from weather (heat, rain, etc)
Little consistency in attendance
Lack of support from students' families
Overcrowded classrooms (when a "classroom" exists)
No workspace or office to prepare

Constructing an office space has helped teachers feel more valued and much more prepared for their lessons. It gives them a place to prepare and store materials, creating a more relaxed class session. Furthermore, it's a devoted space for the teachers to collaborate and work together. It is an intregal piece to the school experience.
