At the Kentucky Association for Environmental Education (KAEE), we’re on a mission to provide hands-on, outdoor educational experiences to every child in the state.

We're creating opportunities for kids to put down their devices and pick up a magnifying glass, to trade in a video game for a hike, and to find a sense of peace and wonder in the natural world.

We are dedicated to ensuring that all our children—from our youngest learners to those graduating and moving into careers—benefit from time spent in nature. And we need your support to continue our work.

Our early learning efforts introduce even the youngest learners to the wonders of the natural world, fostering a lifelong connection to the outdoors. Through Kentucky Green Schools, we transform learning environments—from schoolyards to classrooms—into vibrant spaces that connect students with nature right where they are. And as they grow, we connect them with green career opportunities, showing them a path to a fulfilling future that benefits both them and the planet.

And at every level, we support the passionate educators who dedicate their careers to helping students understand and enjoy the world around them. We've built a robust network that provides teachers and educators with the tools, training, and resources they need to bring environmental education into their classrooms and communities.
