KAEE is celebrating a huge milestone this year: 50 years of advancing environmental literacy in Kentucky and beyond.

Over the past 5 decades, we have transformed from a small gathering in a living room into Kentucky’s premier backbone organization for environmental education - connecting a statewide network of educators, students, and community leaders. Today, KAEE is recognized nationally for providing the resources, training, and system-level support that eliminates silos and allows educators to make a lasting impact.

What does this mean for our future?

We are ready to secure the next 50 years of environmental education by building a permanent, self-sustaining endowment fund. And we are already halfway there!

Thanks to the leadership of Terry Wilson and many generous donors over the past five years, our Legacy Fund currently stands at over $50,000. In celebration of the past 5 decades, our goal now is to raise another $50,000 to establish a $100,000 endowment that will yield reliable funding in perpetuity.
