This 103-year-old building in downtown Tuskegee has sat vacant for years.

We are restoring it into a marketplace for local makers, farmers, and small businesses — but first, we have to make the structure safe.

The first step is simple and urgent: we need to raise $50,000 to repair the roof and stabilize the building.

Nothing else can move forward until that is complete.

The Vision

Once open, the building will function as a flexible, year-round microbusiness space centered around an open-air courtyard and small pop-up storefronts.

Over time, it will support local makers, farmers, food producers, and early-stage entrepreneurs by offering visible, low-barrier space in the heart of downtown.

This project blends historic preservation with practical economic development — creating a space that supports small businesses while sustaining itself.

How the Space Will Open

Starting with one tenant allows the space to:

As the building stabilizes, additional vendors will be added gradually.
