Lahaina, Maui is popularly referred to as a tourist destination, but Lahaina was once the capital of the Kingdom of Hawaiʻi and is the burial home to many of Hawaiʻiʻis aliʻi (chiefs). The tragic destruction of Lahaina has displaced thousands who call this place home.
