Taos takes care of Taos. It always has.

This past year through the TimeBank, neighbors put that into practice. A member drove a mom and her daughter to a Santa Fe appointment when her car wouldn't start and a missed workday meant missed rent. A crew spent several weekends building grain bins at a wheat mill in Questa, so this valley can eat bread made from local grain again. In its first four months, the TimeBank moved more than 600 hours of help like this. No money changed hands. Just time, given and returned.

What we're raising for is the work behind the exchanges. The TimeBank Academy, where members earn time credits for taking courses that make them better neighbors and community members. The support that keeps people from falling through the cracks, the gatherings folks look forward to, and the outreach and software that hold the whole thing together. That work needs steady funding to keep going, and it's what your gift makes possible.

This is a three-month push to put the TimeBank on solid ground for the long haul. Give what you can, and nothing if you can't. Every hour we've traded started with someone deciding this place was worth showing up for. Here's one more (fun) way to do that.
