On Sunday, September 20, we are running and walking five kilometers at Kensico Dam. Not for a medal. For the people who could not afford to ask for help.

Here is the problem we are running at. A therapy session in New York runs $150 to $300. Most people who need one are already stretched thin, already uninsured, already convinced they would be a burden. So they wait. Waiting is where things get dangerous.

Solace House exists to take that math off the table. Free, confidential counseling and suicide prevention support. No insurance required, no fee, no waiting for someone to decide you qualify.

This run was organized by someone in our community who wanted to do something real this month. Every dollar raised goes to keeping that support free.
