Local news needs your support
The COVID-19 pandemic has brought the local economy to a near standstill. Revenue from advertising has gone with it. It presents a new set of financial challenges to local, family-owned newspapers like the Kendall County Record. Funding that hasn’t been lost to giant corporations like Facebook and Google has been largely lost to the pandemic.
We at the Kendall County Record are fighting for our own survival, while at the same time making important local news and information on a public health crisis open for you to read.
It’s an unprecedented time. If you believe local news and information is critical to your community, please donate to this new fund to help keep us bringing you the news you need. Contributions to this fund go directly to helping pay for news resources to cover how the coronavirus impacts the communities we serve. It ensures we have the staff needed to bring you the latest COVID-19 updates, highlight what our community is doing in response, what our local medical workers have been called to do, and how we’ll ultimately pull out of this.
We’ve worked tirelessly since the start of this pandemic to be there for our communities as a reliable source of truth, just as we have with our investigative work and coverage of local government. Your contribution helps us continue that mission.
All donations to this fund are tax deductible. Thank you for your support of the Kendall County Record during this period.
