The driving force of this mission is prayer.
The Monastery of the Holy Martyrs and Orthodox Workers know and believe in the power of prayer. But prayer is an action verb. You can pray to end hunger in the world, but you must also feed people. So what we do here is very simple: We feed people!

We know that you can ask God to move that mountain and He will,! It's just that to do that, God usually hands you the shovel and tells you it is time to get your hands dirty. But He does not walk away. He stands right beside you coaching you encouraging you and giving you strength. He does move that mountain and you are the vehicle He uses you to do the digging. So He leads you to the stove, lights the fire, and tells you to COOK! And because of your continued support, the monastery does just that.

The greatest miracle is not raising the dead but rather it is feeding those who are hungry. We pray to end hunger, but we also feed the folks who are hungry. We are not out to feed the world or to end hunger in the world. All we want is to feed one person and if that is a child even better.

Yes, your unceasing prayers are needed. But the monastery also needs your continued support.

What we do is very simple. We feed folks!
