Our mission is to provide and advocate for affordable quality child care that enriches and nurtures all children, supporting their success in school and in life. When we started more than 30 years ago, we made a promise to provide high-quality, affordable child care to the families and communities that need it most. Since then, we have served thousands of kids from all different backgrounds and have never turned a child away due to their family’s inability to pay.

As stated by the Center for American Progress, “child care is the work that enables all other work.” School hours do not align with work hours, and many families struggle to cover care during school breaks. Access to safe, reliable, and high-quality child care expands the workforce and provides businesses with more dedicated employees, who are less likely to miss work or leave due to family obligations. This is vital to maintaining vibrant and sustainable communities.

Kids Co.’s programming allows families to go to work and school, while ensuring their kids are in a fun, safe, and nurturing environment. Our high-quality programming keeps kids engaged and expands learning opportunities. We choose activities that reinforce and expand on concepts learned in the classroom, provide physical activity, and support social and emotion learning.

Because we charge less than the cost of care, all of our families receive some amount of financial assistance. Many families receive additional assistance in the form of government subsidies and Kids Co. scholarships. Kids Co. has never turned a family away based on their inability to pay. Over the past 5 years, our families have received almost $500,000 in government subsidies and over $800,000 in Kids Co. scholarships. That amounts to over $1.3 million in total aid, not including the discount applied to all families.
