In September 2025, Jeff Harmon embarks on an extraordinary expedition to summit Mount Kilimanjaro. But Jeff’s journey is unlike any other. Confined to a wheelchair since 2017 due to Adrenomyeloneuropathy (AMN), a relentless degenerative disease, Jeff’s ascent symbolizes more than just the physical conquering of a mountain; it is a testament to human spirit, a declaration that facing our deepest fears, embracing the risk of failure, and stepping into the unknown is where true transformation begins.

Jeff’s odyssey is the heartbeat of My Impossible, Inc., a 501c3, non-profit organization born from his indomitable will to live a life without boundaries.

My Impossible's vision is a world where everyone, regardless of their challenges—be it physical, mental, emotional, or socioeconomic—can overcome their own personal "impossibles." Our mission is to create a movement around the world of people who take on what they once thought impossible, transforming not only their lives but the community that supports them.

Jeff's community includes his wife, Sandy, daughters, Maddie and Gloria and his many friends who help him take on "impossible" challenges. That community also includes the 30 team members who have said "yes" to helping him summit Kilimanjaro.

The Kilimanjaro Challenge: Our First Milestone

Jeff's climb of Kilimanjaro isn’t just a personal achievement—it’s the first step of My Impossible, an initiative to inspire others to tackle their own "impossible." Every dollar you contribute goes directly toward the expenses that make this climb possible, ensuring transparency and impact.
This phase of fundraising is focused exclusively on the line items necessary for the climb itself. Other aspects of our mission, like the documentary and grants program, will be funded through a separate campaign down the road.

Here’s How Your Contribution Fuels the Ascent:

Climb Support ($45,000): Covering the logistics for the 25-30 climbers needed to assist our adaptive athlete, including local expertise, transportation, lodging, and meals.
Travel Expenses ($45,000): Funding international travel for team members coming from the U.S. and Europe.
Climbing Gear ($20,000): Providing essential equipment for a safe and successful climb.
Training Expenses ($10,000): Preparing the team with obstacle courses and mountain treks across the U.S.
Adaptive Mountain Wheelchair ($5,000): Custom-building an all-terrain wheelchair designed for the unique challenges of Kilimanjaro.
